EU REGULATING DEFI
A call for research on "embedded supervision" of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols on the Ethereum blockchain has been issued by the European Union Commission, which indicates that greater EU regulation is about to come.
Oh great, like we don't have enough talks of regulating crypto in the US.
Apparently, the program aims to "develop, deploy and test" an integrated system to monitor operations in the DeFi sector.
To track DeFi activities in real time, researchers will collect automated supervisory data straight from the Ethereum blockchain. The study might take 15 months to complete and be expected to cost €250,000.
